In reply to the discussion: Anyone thinking Kamala Harris is going to ascend after a contentious Biden fall [View all]Bettie
(19,929 posts)7. What I see coming
if they get their way is a ticket of two wealthy white men, chosen by other wealthy white men, who will be placed on the ballot by a few people who think they are more important than the rest of us put together.
Reach out to voters? Why would they? We voted for Biden and now they've decided he's forgotten that "working for the people" is supposed to be an empty catch prhase, not something a president should really believe or do.
Now, "working for the donors!" that's one they can get behind.

OP
I agree, I saw her tonight talking about Vance. I believe she is growing into the role and can win.

She is great but right now she can't win the rustbelt...it is too late. And if she is passed over we lose

And we will lose. There is not enough time for her to convince voters in the rustbelt who don't trust Californians.

Look, I don't agree with Democrats asking President Biden to quit, but if he does and VP Harris is not the nominee

It has to be Harris, the campaign money raised already can't be passed to anyone else.

if you don't like the process, you get a new party with a process you like. or push this one.
