(8,024 posts)8. I can feel your exhaustion and disgust
Ironically, when I am feeling overwhelmed by all this shit, I think of the civil rights movement, and all they sacrificed to make us live up to the promises of democracy. I have a pic of John Lewis being beaten above my desk to remind myself to not surrender to hopelessness.
African Americans have contributed more to the realization of democracy and human dignity, and at greater cost, than most people can imagine. I am profoundly grateful, and inspired by that sacrifice.
We've still got a ways to go, but there are more folks on the path with you than you may realize.
Peace my friend.

She's great. She is well-positioned to succeed Biden should he be no longer able to serve.

The reps that are sticking their lovely noses in to the Presidential race, have no authority, no right.

You are spot on - they have no right to invalidate 14 million votes cast in the primary.

The oligarchy is alive and well within the Democratic Party punditry.

I wasn't. I was just testing my own assumption. Because I didn't think you were.

Nice post. And quite true. Plenty of voters on here (I'm white) voted for Biden/Harris in the primary.

Biden is being decisive, some of the Democratic Party leaders are being spineless and confused.

I suspect the vast majority of those who now question whether Biden should remain our nominee
