And just to reiterate something. I really don't know if this replacing of a candidate - particularly in the manner it is being pushed - is helpful to us in November. I've spoken against it repeatedly, that it's too late for this sort of thing.

I'm just bristling at the fact that we're kind of discouraged from having an honest dialogue that everyone in this country - and certainly everyone in our party - is having right now. So we have to talk around it and find more peripheral things to discuss, and I think people are mistaking those peripheral things for main things. A salad isn't a steak.

It is what it is. But conspiracies beget conspiracies, and everything's taking a weird turn. As a "reality-based" person, not super fond of it. Although, to be fair, some of it is genuinely funny. "Is AI responsible for Congressional statements" like a robot secretary somewhere is sending out notes on letterhead. That one made me laugh.
