14. They don't think it will change hearts and minds.

They're showing off for their bases and encouraging others to join their mob.
Because somehow, they're pretending yelling, threats and destroying stuff while being protected by laws makes you a Freedom Fighter who Means Business.

Here's the problem they have. Most people deplore what Israeli hardliners lead by Netenyahu are doing in Gaza and on the West Bank. But most people also deplore Hamas, Hezbollah, all the other hard line Islamic organizations because, frankly they're all cowards who don't fight organizationally against those that can fight back, they target those who aren't going to fight them and openly promote indiscriminate annihilation of the other. It's gang warfare at this point. And the Israeli and Palestine civilians who otherwise would be happy enough going about their own business are caught in the crossfire.

Most people recognize pro Hamas does not equal anti-war or anti-colonialism. Being pro Hamas does not feed and shelter Palestinian refugees, nor release the Israeli hostages, nor does it stop border violence, hatred, rapes, illegal land grabs and indiscriminate deaths.
Pro Hamas means pro Islamic extremism; might as say "let's just give up create a strong-arml radical Islamic Caliphate in the region", and live with the weekly religious based public executions of "immoral" or uppity women, people accused of being LGBTQ, apostates or unbelievers, and frankly anyone that falls afoul of that regime on trumped up charges and hauled before a Hamas Court.

Islam can be a beautiful religion, just as Christianity, Judism, Buddhism, Hinduism...there are sects and philosophies within all of the major religions that are thoughtful, generous, tolerant, and full of general wisdom that really do sound like they're coming from a benevolent creator who really wants their complex interconnected creation to thrive.
But in all religions, there are also ulta-orthodoxies; philosophies that are prideful, intolerant, tribalistically bigoted, and fearfully unadaptable to any change within a "true vision" of the mortal leaders who have interpreted those words coming from that creator for their own source of power and enrichment.
The "protestors" who vandalize and celebrate a gang of bullies rather than an actual cause are but useful idiots for those ultra-orthodox terrorists.
