but if the electorate responded to reason, truth, and facts, Donald J. Trump would never have won the election in 2016 and after all of the criminal acts, lies, and treason he committed during his four years in office, he damn sure wouldn't be the Republican nominee for President who is (slightly) leading in the polls one hundred days out. If you have ever watched anyone interview a Trump rally attendee, you would see a demographic that is completely willing to suspend their ability to check facts, engage in logic, or research any claim, no matter how outrageous. They roundly reject any attempt to provide them factual information that counters their existing false beliefs.
