57. As some of you know from different posts of mine, I don't give a flying

fig about their intimidation tactics, and tell them off whenever I encounter them. For some reason, this little old childfree/childless cat lady scares the bloody hell out of people. I know that puts me in an odd category, but I make use of it as necessary.

One example: Years ago, I was helping an older friend pack and move from a very bad situation, not an abusive spouse, an abusive landlord who was terrorizing the tenants. I explained to him that his behaviour could not go on without consequences. He called the police, and told them he feared for his life because I had threatened him. The guy was 6'6 and weighed over 300. A young officer responded, and almost couldn't stop laughing as I explained the situation to him. He suggested that perhaps I could refrain from interacting with the bully, and I assured him I would do so. I did not, however, say anything about all the agencies I called in to deal with him.
