I had my Obama signs stolen as soon as I put them up, so I built 2 x 2 wood frames for them and painted the frame black. After I put the sign in the ground, I thick coated the frame with roofing tar - the kind that won't wash out of anything. I only lost 2 of them, then the thefts stopped. I happened to over hear a guy asking a car parts guy how to get tar off a steering wheel.

I heard of a guy who wired a cattle fence charger to his signs - I thought that was pretty clever..

But you should get a wildlife camera, or a ring, and post photos of people attacking your property or signs.
