20. My opinion is, that's what the "assassination" was about.

Either a feeler to see how something happening to Trump would go over with the base, or a failed attempt. Set up the shooter, going to kill that fool, no martyring him, take out the orange bastard. But, they neglected to make sure the fool could actually shoot straight.

My conspiracy theory is, Vance goes, then Trump either strokes out, or falls out a window, or the next shooter gets him. As long as he's done, buried, soon to be forgotten, it matters not. Then whoever the new VP choice is, really who they think can beat Kamala Harris, takes over, gets a ton of sympathy votes, and sails into the White House. Even if they lose, they're set up for the next cycle. No more crazy on the outside, keep it all inside and the real bosses are running the country.

The big money people don't give a shit about Trump, or Vance, or the base. All they want is a puppet they can control. Last one was GWB, he might have been an idiot, but he apparently wasn't totally batshit crazy. I think the money people lost control of the MAGA base, which is why we have people like Empty Green and the Bobo. Those kind weren't supposed to end up elected. A little crazy, like Mike Johnson, maybe, but full-out, needs to be in a nut ward? Nah.

The course will correct itself. I predict we get two terms of Harris/Walz, and then it's back on.
