13. For all who want

to know, one of SalmonEnchantedEvenings friends (Patiod) emailed me about my objections to the Superman comic that appeared on Sunday's Lolz Cats.

So here you go. This is what Patiod (Bob's friend) wrote me and my response. I have never emailed Bob. He wrote me a not so nice one. I deleted it.

And if anyone wants to email me about my reaction to the Superman comment, I won't respond so save your tender typing fingers. Bob wrote me and told me that 'You own this.' I did not respond. So now you have all the words, pictures, etc. And maybe you'll understand why I reacted as I did. Or not. I don't care. You can all put me on Ignore and go merrily along with your lives.

Thank you, Atman, for your thread. And I am glad to see that Bob is getting all the attention he needs.

I have been looking at Bob's animal photos for a while. In fact, I look forward to seeing them. I've even forwarded them to a couple of friends. I like animals better than most people....I'm sure you can see why.

This is the first time I saw a comic in his post NOT about animals. I was like WTF. As I said it stuck out like a sore thumb. I just didn't get it. It seemed so out of place. When I saw it, all I thought of was 'SPLAT' like the people who jumped from the WTC. That is what it triggered in me. That is how I felt. It was not funny to me. I can still hear that horrible sound. If you and Bob can't handle my experience to the comic then I suggest you put ME on IGNORE.

Would it be too much to ask that Bob consider, 'Gee, I never thought of how that comic might appear to others. Humor can be a really emotional issue.' No apology needed. Just the realization that others may view comics/humor in a very different light.

I, too, have had to move back to my hometown to care for my 85 year-old mother. And aren't you lucky to have a friend with whom to share the experience of parent-caring. This past year has been simply torturous for me. And none of my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. have lifted a finger to even bring a plate of home-cooked food to their sister/aunt. And one of them lives right across the street, while two live within two blocks. It has been a real eye-opener for me.

I don't care about Facebook, Twitter, etc. I don't have time for social media. I just get the news from a couple of sites and make comments when something grabs my attention.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go get Xmas decorations from my mother's garage and try to make her home look somewhat festive. My tiny apartment is still filled with stacks of unopened boxes, empty shelves, and a sofa covered with papers and mail. There will be no Xmas decor at my place. I'm too damn tired.

And btw, my mother's home is very small with only two bedrooms and the second one is used for sewing, the computer, and yes, an old typewriter which she still uses because of her tremors....just so you understand why I have an apartment.

I see no reason for further communication.
