108. I think you're way, way over the line with this.

Posting someone's personal name when in fairness they were super polite in asking you to understand who you were upset with is really fucking shady and seriously you deserve a tombstone for that.

As much as you might feel emboldened to attack that Superman cartoon on the grounds of your feelings being upset, realize that you going on a rampage doesn't mean much in the long run. You've gone from what could have been a polite disagreement to bashing the poster personally, driving him away (he who provides a service that others here on this site enjoy)and starting a mob to get you removed from DU. And your flippant attitude about the thoughts of others in this and your attempts to act like you're so cool by showing real names, show that you have a flagrant disregard for this community.

Let me remind you of something. This is a private forum/community. It's not protected by free speech and your ability to exist here is purely subjectively chosen by the Admins and Mods here. You don't have the right to break TOS and call out people by their names. You also don't have the right to be a total asshole and start a massive flamewar. You didn't like the post, we get it. So hit ignore or just make a comment about your point and move on. You chose to make this a bigger deal because you seem to want attention.

If you want these kinds of fights... to make a greater stand against misogyny, you're in the wrong forum. As the HopeHoops incident showed, there is unity on a line of where misogyny cannot go. That comic was silly and you can see from Superman's concerned look at the end that he fucked up and is going to go save her. Is it misogynistic to say a woman has baggage? I say no. I'm a male who has been divorced, had serious family issues, has two biological kids and a ton of debt. If I were single right now, guess what many, MANY women would say about me? I have baggage. Baggage is also subjective, as are most opinion based thoughts.

So your comments are off base to begin with and then rude as fuck when you get to your accusatory tone.

If you want to fight so bad, go to Free Republic. I guarantee there, you'll have a bitter fight every single day about misogyny and you may make more enemies, which I am sure will allow you to puff your self importance up that much higher.
