just last night written by one of their op writers. Darn near word for word. (and others similar sprinkled throughout print media) Doesn't have a damned thing to do with the evil NYT - but rather with a very curious (and unique) inflection in time that we find ourselves. Hopeful, joyous, and slightly bittersweet ...
The love fest for Joe - must be informed with the knowledge (peppered with regret?) that he was asked to step aside. That's just the history of what went down. He did so - and kudos to him (and perhaps others as well?) - for one more brave and selfless act. But that does not brush aside the fact that a really good man took part at the convention last night - - in a role that he did not expect - and had not really wanted. (and, again - no only by him, but by large swath of others - including many that shed tears and roared approval and appreciation for him). Recognizing that - are we really going to try to pretend that there aren't some handful of regrets - and hurts?
