I think the Likud has been in power more or less since that time. It's one of those what if things. What if Yitzhak Rabin wasn't assassinated and the Oslo Accords went ahead? Where would things stand now? I don't remember which UN resolution it was, I think it was during the Obama administration, but it was a resolution involving Israel and I think the US abstained, and it was a big deal. That was a big reason why the right-wing believed Obama was Muslim (he wasn't), and all this other stuff. Which of course has led me to this question that I have asked for a while now: Does Netanyahu really have our best interests? I have my doubts.
