Once Trump is off the stage, which I hope happens in November, I can’t think of many who could be described as future stars of the Republican Party. I suppose Speaker Johnson could be one, but so many others are just plain unlikable—Cruz, Hawley, Greene, Tuberville, Gaetz, Scott, and horrible DeSantis. Unless the party changes drastically back into a somewhat normal party, I can’t see Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger having much success.
