as he knows his corrupt ass will then be tried in Israel so he keeps up with the charade that the IDF won't stop until Hamas is defeated, even though higher-ups in the IDF tell him that that's impossible.

His agenda is to save himself, Hamas' is to defeat Israel, which is also impossible. So every time a deal is near, one or the other will order yet another hostile act to keep the war going.

It's not complicated now. We know the drill. We know what each sides' agenda is...to stay in power to save their respective asses and positions of power.

Take it to the bank, if a peace deal nears, wait for the next attack.
