In reply to the discussion: 3:35 bodycam footage of the Tyreek Hill stop. Thoughts? [View all]doc03
(39,109 posts)78. Is this video taken out of context? I have no idea what the reason for stopping him was. From the posts here
he was going 55MPH in a 40MPH or had no seat belt on or he was going over 100MPH. I have no idea.
If it was just 55MPH in a 40 or a seat belt why in the hell were there 5 Motorcycle officers there. Where they in pursuit
because he was going 100MPH. Is it common practice there to call for back-up on just a routine traffic stop are we being told the whole story. It appeared all he had to do was give the cop his license. His windows was so dark he could have rolled the window up and ended up pulling a gun from under the seat and shooting the officer. With the gun laws we have today a cop has to assume everyone he pulls over has a gun. The bystanders should have stayed in their car and kept out of it.

The LEO's involved are likely subscribers to the Fraternal Order of Police...

This looked like any other traffic stop where the driver didn't obey the police officer

I've never seen someone dragged out at 9 seconds from the "step out of the car" warning on a traffic stop.

Most school shooters get less aggression from cops, there's something wrong ... period

It wasn't a seatbelt stop. He was stopped because he was speeding. He was cited for careless driving - plus seatbelt.

I see a lot of unnecessary force being used by police once they start pulling

Hill's long history of domestic violence and assault should not factor into this incident. The cops were wrong. nt
