I understand what you’re saying, but I disagree that Trump is like any other protectee. I mean, we all know where he lives and plays golf - either Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster, or maybe at his course in Loudoun County, VA.

I didn’t mean to imply that his activity was to “blame.” I do agree he needs to evaluate how much risk he’s willing to take. Either the SS figures out why Trump has been so vulnerable or he works with them to minimize his exposure. Just like a president isn’t allowed to drive or stroll down a street indiscriminately, which are both “normal” activities that are curtailed.
