What is not being discussed is the role that destruction related to natural disasters play on the supply chains. Loot at Helena and all the massive destruction of areas that will need to be rebuilt. That puts a lot of pressure on the supply chain to be able to rebuild all of those locations. Then if you are trying to build new residential or commercial building you are competing against all the destroyed areas. Before I retired I was a Procurement Officer and I handled bidding out facility projects (new construction and renovations. I witnessed the changes in both pricing and the time that it takes to get supplies.

The topic is a lot more complex then what Vance is trying to spin.
