Many may be cautiously optimistic but that is a long way from taking things for granted. As for the polls, most polls show things very close, but almost all show either a Harris lead or a tie (of the last 8 non-right wing polls, 6 show a Harris lead and 2 show a tie). The only recent polls showing Trump leading are known to be right wing biased polls. In fact, the last poll from a "neutral" pollster to show a Trump lead was almost a month ago when Emerson showed a 1% Trump lead. So even their current dead heat can be looked at positively because it represents movement toward Harris since the previous poll. I live in PA and based on what I'm observing, I remain cautiously optimistic.
