(I'll say again) It's the White Man's Pass. The republican party is very white and very male, much more so than the Democratic Party. White men have always received the more credit, passes, and reverence in America whether or not it's been deserved. White male Democrats do not get the same White Man's Pass as republicans due to their affiliation with a less white, less male party.

For a convicted felon adjudicated for rape who suggests taking highly toxic chemicals for COVID and an all out liar (everyone wanted Roe v Wade overturned) to be competitive in a presidential race can only be America's doling out of the White Man's Pass, yet again.
