It's entirely possible that the event happened and was documented. It's also possible that the GOP ops have ginned up a verifiable fake to intercept the scandal, like Rove did with W's national guard "service". Remember, the alleged victim comes from one of TSF's big donor families, would you trust them to sell you a used car?

Imagine the fun we'd have if the remaining liberal punditry focused in on this allegation, and the video evidence surfaced much to everyone's delight, and then evidence that it's compromised/AI-generated turns up. TSF would parade it around, claiming another instance of "complete exoneration", a complete disaster for anyone who embraced the story.

It's not like there isn't already a list of TSF's misdeeds a mile long. Keeping a soft focus on his fitness for office and suitability as a role model for American youth seems like the best play right now.
