(61,194 posts)34. Honestly, I think they fear a powerful woman
Many years ago, I had my first of many female managers. One of the guys who I worked with felt threatened by her, I found it refreshing. She moved on and up in the company, but it stuck with me how many didnt want a woman in charge.
More recently, I needed a new doctor as my previous doctor retired, a female doctor took over his practice, but not his patients. When I scheduled an appointment, the office called me and asked me if I had a problem with a woman as my doctor. All I care is that my doctor is knowledgeable and compassionate.
I dont get the prejudice many have.

Unfortunately, most polls require people to "say" their answer, not "do" it.

Yes, great example! And it's not only conservative women -- disfunction is not dependent on gender ;(.

Women have been elected to state-wide offices in some pretty conservative states.

Let's assume this poster is not blaming mothers for raising sons who became misogynists.

Tell you what. Those of you who get it are valued. Please don't think you are not!

I laugh remembering the guy earlier this year who said he wouldn't vote for a woman because she doesn't

Me too. Not sure I am deeply ashamed, but definitely embarrassed and disappointed.

I'm not sure I believe that. I'm not defending my demographic, which generally sucks politically, but we're not...

Bullshit .... Plenty of white men are pledging their support for Harris. Republican polls are fictitious.

Well I'm a white male who will be 66 in a few weeks. So I'm on the younger end of the Baby Boom.

No doubt many white men have a problem with women leaders, but I think many have a bigger problem with Democrats

Men interpret the Bible as saying women are to be obedient, and are the cause of all strife
