3. Check for state guidelines for poll watching

In Ohio, if you want to observe inside the polling station, you have to be selected by a party, a group of candidates, or a group of people supporting an issue. You have to go to BoE at least 11 days before the day of the election and get a cetification to carry and show to the Voting Location Manager .

You have to be registered to vote in Ohio, but not necessarily in the county you are going to be in to observe.
