(13,398 posts). . . I think we need to be very clear in language. I think we need stop referring to Christian Nationalists simply as "Christians" or "Evangelicals." When we don't distinguish we are tarring all Christian faith communities with the Christian Nationalist brush.
Those who claim they are driven by "faith" to pass laws to force others life by a code of morality they take as "gospel" are Christian Nationalists who are in fact pushing an agenda that is completely incompatible with new testament writings.
When we fail to distinguish we alienate Christians who are in fact our natural allies. I've had a number of conversations with Christians -- Christians who are NOT Christian Nationalists -- who think we hate them, when what we hate is Christian Nationalism.
