feel free to copy/paste it if you feel so inclined.
I decided to post this, after this experience I had yesterday:
yesterday I was having lunch with two guys from work.
one of them said "so you do you know who you're going to vote for yet?"
what unfolded was surprising.
both i think were learning towards trump because of one thing: they think he's better for the economy.
one mentioned that his 401k went up under Trump. I mentioned that the stock market has been way up under Biden.
they don't watch the news
they haven't heard all the offensive stuff that trump has said and done
I mentioned jan 6 and one of them said, "that was so overblown."
I said "really? I mean they smashed in the windows, broke down the doors, to our Capitol building.
the other guy said "really?"
this showed me there are still some people considering voting for trump, simply because they just have no idea what the F is going on. they don't watch the news. they're not assholes or idiots. they just don't pay attention to the news or politics and they think trump is better on the economy.
I explained that the last time he was in office the only thing he did really for the economy was a huge tax cut that 85% of it went to the rich and it drove up the biggest deficit in the history of our country.

the discussion was respectful
and i'm not sure but i might have gotten one of them to think a bit more about his vote.
that's why i posted this
the bottom line is, there are still people who are reluctantly considering voting for trump and they could possibly benefit from a real conversation with a friend or person they respect instead of listening to a news pundit.

Ok, that really sucks. But you've tried for 10 years so you've done what you could. I'm sorry your family hasn't been
