Democratic Underground is currently open to registered members only

At 9PM ET on Monday, March 25, we began a major required software update. (This was a behind-the-scenes update which does not affect the DU user interface.) The update has been completed, but we are now performing optimizations which could not be dealt with in a test environment. In order to complete these optimizations we need to reduce traffic to our servers. Earlier, we restricted access to registered members only. However, we need to reduce traffic even further, so at this time only Star Members can fully access the site.
