In reply to the discussion: If Democrats had to lose to Trump, this is the best way for it to happen [View all]DUMember24
(106 posts)34. No thank you to
"we can have a sit down with them and see where we can find common ground."
I'll just stop at us not blaming each other. I don't have any common ground with things that call themselves garbage, dress up in trashbags at rallys, and climb on buildings like animals, and deficate on desks. That was worse than a coup...Animals don't even do that. But I hear what you're saying, and respect your views. Just try to be positive. I know it doesnt help much but let's try to all regroup as best we can.

OP
You're still underestimating what he and his followers are willing to do. Stop doing that.

By that logic, it would have been better if he won in 2020 since he'd be almost out of our hair

I'm not giving up, I just think some folks are in denial about what we are up against.

Obama has pretty much set the tone for acquiescence and where Democrats are headed.

I'm just being realistic about what we are facing. Read up about Hungary's Orban and you'll understand.

I agree about regrouping. My guess is that it will need to start at the local level.
