We now know the equation:

Black + woman + fringe issues > 10%

The candidate executed her strategy as perfectly as humanly possible. There were absolutely no gaffes. She was right on the mark with high energy every single day. That should tell us that it is not the candidate. It is the formula. I know that sucks, but we really will have to change all 3 of those elements if we want to win the next time.

We can't do anything for women, minorities and people in the margins if we are out of power. We must stop organizing our campaigns around the margins.

Don't get me wrong. That does NOT mean running milquetoast middle-of-the-road candidates and platforms. The only thing in the middle of the road is road kill. We have to run with the most populist message we can. We need to be just as bold and clear with what we want for America as the other guy is when he says he wants to be a dictator and deport 20 million brown people.
