If I were editing the sports section of a publication, I would only consider articles about sports.
Unfortunately, the "free speech" argument you are making is causing it to be difficult to have any discussions at all anywhere about anything. An online photography group I belong to is overrun by MAGAs who insist on introducing their political opinion into every topic and then threaten and insult people who object. Cause, you know, free speech!

Correct. In business if you lose to a competitor, you don't say it's the fault the customers who didn't buy your product
