14. My problem with the cruelty take

It doesn't bother them like we think it should because it implies that they have power. It's difficult to be cruel to someone if you don't have some kind of leverage over them.
Attempting to shame the shameless or make someone feel bad for exerting power that they think they now have isn't going to work.
