His running commentary on the morning of 9/11 from the top of the Time Warner building is seared into my memory.

As the WTC1 (the North Tower) collapsed, his gasp of "My God" still rings in my ears.

He had a wonderful show on CNN after that at 10pm weeknights.

He's definitely a journalist that will be missed.
