(172 posts)It is never worth it to me to attempt to post beliefs that are not of my own. I enjoy saying what I actually believe and receiving the opinions of the beliefs of others. This is why I believe and have stated that the 2nd Amendment as written by the founders is fundamental to having we the masses retain power, instead of us being turned into serfs with plows and shovels by the elite.
Unless one uses a diffuse proxy service such as Tor, most posters don't grasp the loss of privacy significance of Facebook. It is truly a Trojan horse. Anyone that belongs to and posts on FB essentially connects their location and IP address to a real name and to a life history, and thus provides insiders and corporations, and your boss, etc potentially with a public internet reverse phone book. The obvious purpose of FB was to connect names and postings and activity of IP addresses which can then be available for cross referenced between interested users and site owners.
I don't belong to FB and never will because I believe anonymity just as the 2nd Amendment and secret ballot is a major gog in the wheel that supports and retains our democracy. Anonymity of political beliefs is our right.
