In reply to the discussion: A Call To Arrest Musk [View all]Attilatheblond
(8,944 posts)48. The Republicans, with damned few exceptions, are terrified of Musk/Trump and not willing to defend the Constitution
They like their well paid, cushy jobs. All they have to do is say what Trump wants said and vote how Trump tells them. If they manage to stay in office without Trump having them primaried, they are set for life. I don't expect them to help here. They wouldn't do what would have assured he could never run again in TWO past impeachments.
I favor cutting the power to Musk's little fortress and sending in riot police and US Marshals to haul the lot of his geek gang for violating law re private citizens accessing confidential databases. Then we can get serious.

Stating facts and reality is certainly not a weak response, it is a strong response.

No, it's not. It's vigilante justice you can't exact. Cruel & unusual punishment is outlawed by the 8th Amendment.

Republicans are all in on this. So there won't be any "pissed off Republicans" to join Dems.

Why? For inevitable pardons even if it happened? Futile exercise is all it would be.
