13. I (stupidly) put a deposit down on the Model 3 back in 2016

Back then, they were the only company making good EVs and they promised an "affordable" one at $35K. So, I put my money down and waited. By the time it actually shipped the first vehicles years later, it cost over $50k. It was one of many bait and switch operations performed by that company.

Canceled my reservation long before they shipped it and bought a different EV. Currently driving a very nice VW ID.4. It's a great car that does everything I need.
