(1,056 posts)We gave up the store because Trump and the GOP were screaming relentlessly for 4 years, after losing over 60 court cases, that the 2020 election was stolen....and for people who are saying we need to focus on the future, that's not a winner...Trump won last time I checked.
The Republicans telegraphed that they were going to do voter suppression, voter purges, and position people in counties all over the country who were election deniers and willing to do whatever the Fuhrer wanted them to do. The "stolen election" big lie was their subtext to pass voter suppression laws all over the country, which they did.
There is no both sides-ism here folks. It is perfectly legitimate to understand that if someone is willing to lie about the last election, willing to accept Russian help in 2016 (fact: he did), try to extort Zelensky in July of 2019, ask the GA. Sec. of State in 2020 to "find 11,780 votes" (we've all heard his own voice on that call), that this guy might, just MIGHT, be willing to cheat his way back into office. He has priors. It's not far-fetched, it's not both side-ism, it fits the M.O. of the convicted felon (I left off catch and kill stories in 2016 to steal that election too-which led to his 34 felony conviction in NY State-the Stormy Daniels affair).
Yes, I am focused on 2026 and 2028, but I do not recognize Donald Trump as a legitimate U.S. President in any sense of the word. He's not.
