43. Politics 101: A universal truth is that a large group of voters ONLY care about perceived self-interest

they don't care about much else, including the "isms" unless some drastic news breaks through their filters. For example, thinking ALL Trump voters are racists is absurd, because some of them are literally African American. That doesn't mean that their passive neglect of the isms doesn't actually contribute to the isms continued existence, but that connection is absent from their consciousness.

BUT relevant to perceived self-interest, prices are not going to go down, especially if tariffs are put in place-- Trump will have 6 months to a year and then his numbers will fall off a cliff. If prices go up rapidly, then he will have less time.

Similarly if Musk damages government services fast enough-- Trump's numbers will fall much more quickly.
