You are saying, if we add up all the bits and pieces, that Musk didn't do it, he just ordered it done.
I have a recollection of some words being bandied about here along the lines of "distinction without a difference."
And, frankly, it's hard for us lesser mortals to sort out how "has no authority" squares with "they tell the Dep't heads what to do."
I think on that one, you're just playing label games. They have no official authority. But they do have de facto authority.
Or is your current position in these shifting sands that DOGE told Noem and Noem did it and, Q.E.D., Elon is clean as the tooth on a Rhodesian Ridgeback? Because it was, like, DOGE, dude! And you can't blame Elon for that!!
