The Transportation Safety Board of Canada, with assistance from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, is investigating the incident. So Duffy will have something to say in all likelihood. So far, he seems happy to blame DEI whenever he can. Even before ALL the information is in.
Regarding another crash.
Black Box Recovery and Analysis: Investigators have successfully retrieved the flight data recorders, commonly known as "black boxes," from both the helicopter and the airplane.
Seventeen seconds before the collision, an air traffic control directive instructing the Black Hawk to pass behind the American Airlines jet may not have been fully received by the helicopter crew. This incomplete transmission could have been due to simultaneous radio communications, leading to critical miscommunication.
Comments on DEI and Air Traffic Control: In the aftermath of the tragic mid-air collision over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., Secretary Duffy suggested that DEI hiring practices may have contributed to staffing shortages among air traffic controllers. He emphasized the need to prioritize merit-based hiring to ensure safety, stating, "You can't focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion when you try to hire air traffic controllers; you focus on the best and brightest."
Since taking office, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has made several comments and policy decisions related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Maybe he is more interested in making Trump happy than he is in providing the U.S. citizens the FACTS based on real data.
