Bethany 貝書穎 @BethanyAllenEbrNEW: The Trump administration has just told a federal judge in a court filing that it will not comply with the court's order to resume funding for USAID and State Department foreign assistance.
Last Thursday, U.S. District Judge Amir Ali wrote in a filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia that the Trump administration must unfreeze foreign assistance payments to USAID and State Department grantees.
The Trump admin's response, filed by Pete Marocco, the new Director of the Office of Foreign Assistance at State, states that the administration will continue its freeze on funds for both USAID and State:

...and State:

Last week, a federal judge in Rhode Island ruled that the Trump administration was refusing to comply with a court order to unfreeze federal funding domestically.
The next step here is to see how U.S. District Judge Amir Ali responds.

...and let's be clear. This is Trump ordering this, so enough with the 'administration' bullshit.
He could order compliance, the same way he's obviously ordered defiance of these courts.
After all, Trump just put out an illegal EO yesterday making clear that he expects that only the 'Attorney General or the President' will interpret the law as it applies to the Executive branch.

Doesn't surprise me. What is surprising is the support he seems to have from veterans.
