We moved from Southern California to Fort Worth for 3 years for my husbands job, 2013-15. We kept our California house. Houses in Texas that were as large and as well-appointed as our California home were 1/2 to 1/3 the price in Texas. My husband showed me the difference in property tax. Wow!! Those Texas homes annually cost more than our home in the LA area. Additionally, auto registration cost much more in Texas. It was more along the lines of what Gray Davis had suggested in California and what had led to Daviss recall. Thats when we got Schwarzenegger. Anyway, Texass lack of state income tax was no great financial help. States must get funding somewhere. If its not from income tax, its likely from fees or other taxes.

DeSantis goes heavy on library books, drag queens, and transgender. It makes him look like accomplishment.
