Mental illness runs on a continuum, not black/white. For example, depression is something that can be so mild it basically shows no symptoms. Or it can be so bad a sufferer can't leave his/her room.

The need to own a gun - when no real need exists - is a mild form of mental illness. If a person owns 30 guns, it's a worse form of the same disease.

That's what I'm talking about.
