But it also needs to be understood by the public at large. One of the only ways that we might get Republicans in the Congress to budge is if there is a non-partisan mass mobilization of outrage from the American people. I think that we are seeing the beginnings of that with these Town Halls where Republican Members of Congress are getting a furious response from their constituents, including many Republican and Conservative voters. If Republicans in Congress become more afraid of their own voters than they are of Trump, there might be some movement in Congress and some pushback against Trump Musk.

And we should note that the Republican majority in the House is the slimmest majority in the past 100 years. We need just a few Republicans to change positions. Also, there are two special elections for the House in Florida on April 1st. The districts are pretty solidly Republican, but we should contest them anyway. People are pissed and angry, so even Republicans will need to wake up and respond or face the wrath of the voters. And the anger is cutting across party lines and ideological lines-- Republicans, Conservatives, Democrats, Progressives, and Independents are all getting very angry at what is going on with Trump Musk and the Federal Government. Their slash and burn policies are not very popular at all with the public. Anyway, thanks for commenting.
