and in withholding to create a "boomer cushion"... now, I have no idea if the R's left any money in it, but I know there were sure mad about it when it was started, and it eventually came down to Al Gore's "Lockbox" to keep at least some of the money away from them. With the actuarial tables they created they truly felt they had us boomers accounted for and into the next generation to retire. Any shortcomings, and blame your republican politicians. They've been stealing from us right and left for any reason... but especially to pay for their wars.
