Do many of Trump's supporters believe he has good intentions?

7. My Mom does

No matter what I tell her or facts I provide she thinks Trump is an excellent business man and only wants to help America.

She is 89, and watches Fox News for 3 hours or so a day.

If I give her any conflicting information, she tells me it upsets her, and she just wants to be happy during her last days and think happy thoughts. She fully admitted she just wants to believe what she wants to believe and that’s comforting.

My Mom is the only Trump supporter in my circle of family, friends, and work circle. It’s almost like she is the token representative, and even though she did not vote in 2024, I sometimes want to vent to her my thoughts about his supporters. It’s been hard for me to hold my tongue this last month. There is no way I could ever cut her out of my life, she is a sweet, sweet women and I love her so much.

She has started watching some CNN to balance out the fox over the last couple of weeks. She only has TV for resources, she doesn’t use the internet. She told me she is not hearing CNN talk about any of the stuff I’ve shared with her, she stated CNN doesn’t seem alarmed over anything Trumps done.

She also doesn’t believe that Musk is doing anything that Trump hasn’t told him to. She told me that if I knew Donald Trump, he would never let anyone else be in charge.

I’ve decided we won’t be discussing politics anymore.
