(40,622 posts)Calling our reps AND not buying will make a bigger impact than just not buying. Calling once a week would be better, but apparently we're not organized or committed enough to do that. ??? IDK. It seems calling would be the easiest of all since we all have phones with us all the time. I put all my reps under P for politician, a tip I read on FB. But I still only call once a week. But if all of us called once a week...
Maybe what we need is a weekly message. Or better yet, a pinned thread with a bunch of messages to choose from, that people could edit if they wanted but something to get them started. Topics: Democracy, health care, education, gun control, our national parks, our economy for the few, & on & on. I would love a thread with message ideas. They don't have to be long & actually shouldn't be. I read that calling is noted more than any other form of contact.
BTW, snail mail letters go through security & take longer than postcards.
