to engage in imaginary musings that you can rid yourself of this government through a fictive secession. You're welcome to leave the USA at any point, but posting on a message board isn't going to actualize secession. That takes war and massive amounts of bloodshed. Is that what you dream of, slaughtering millions of other Democrats? Because that is what it would take. Do you think the Civil War was cute?

What the talk about secession does is to alienate other Democrats. It's not enough that the party has been locked out of power. Now people want to ensure Democrats never again wins another election. They effect of this sort of nonsense talk is to ensure that Republicans retain a permanent majority. We don't win elections by hating everyone in sight. We have to find ways to actually appeal to American voters, not systematically alienate them--even when they agree with you on 98% of issues.
