Starmer's likely to try to maintain economic co-operation with Trump. There are US investments in the UK in everything from healthcare to arms production. Our Trident fleet won't work without US co-operation. The UK hosts highly significant US listening posts.
Whether he can keep the issue of Ukraine separate from economics and the other considerations is something we'll have to wait and see. Disentangling from the US altogether would be very complicated
