13. Boycotting the store does nothing when Amazon makes all its money from AWS

Amazon makes 75% of its profits from AWS (Amazon Web Services), which is basically the entire internet. DU runs on AWS. So does Reddit. If you use a cell phone, you are using AWS and giving Bezos money. If you use the internet, you are using AWS. Netflix, HBO, Disney, all the social media platforms. Tens of thousands of websites run on AWS. It is impossible to avoid using it.

Boycotting the Amazon store disproportionately harms small business owners. It does not make sense to participate in a boycott that doesn't really do anything while completely ignoring the way Amazon is making the vast majority of their money, especially when what you're boycotting WILL harm the little guy.
