at least smart enough to recognize that his money can buy what Trump wants - the threat to disobedient GOPers of being primaried - and that with Musk doing the wet work of killing the government, Trump can relax, play golf and pretend he's in charge while not exerting himself in the least. Musk, in contrast, seems to enjoy getting up in everybody's shit and deciding which agencies live and which ones die, so he runs around like a lunatic, making bank off the government with all those sweet contracts while doing stuff he has no business doing and getting away with it. Trump won't get rid of Musk as long as Musk's money supports his needs.
