EVERYONE in Kentucky did NOT vote for Trump, goddammit.
I am so tired of this.
Everyone in Tennessee did not vote for trump.
Everyone in Alabama did not vote for trump.
Everyone in Mississippi did not vote for trump.
On the other hand, people in California voted for trump.
People in New York voted for trump.
People in Washington (state) voted for trump.
Yeah, we're a red state, unfortunately. That does not mean EVERYONE here loves trump.
That does not mean that we should starve or move or die penniless.
It makes me wonder about how united the liberal side is. I came here originally to find like-minded people to commiserate with and to find the real news, yet I am told repeatedly that I don't matter cos I live in the wrong state.
The last presidential Dem candidate that came to Kentucky was Bernie. My son and DIL went and it was an overflow crowd. We have had a couple of Dem candidates that were great. When Booker ran, the DNC took out one ad with all the Dem candidates listed that said "We hope you'll vote for these candidates. Thank you". I didn't know about the woman running against Comer(double UGH) til I got the ballot!!! Hey, DNC! How bout a little help here?
Yeah, I know, Mitch. Well, guess what? I have NEVER voted for him. I have never met anyone in 70 years of living here that said "Boy, that Mitch McConnell, what a guy!" My late cousin, who was a Republican delegate, told my mother at the beginning of Mitch's "career" that he was, and I quote, "dangerous". I don't know how he wins, but the good ol' boys club is alive and well here...could that be it?
So, do liberals living in red states just go away? Do we starve to death? That seems to be what some people want.
And, BTW, Andy Beshear is great. He's calm and fearless. He is talking about running for Mitch's seat. Will he get any help from the DNC? I guess we'll see.
