Saw a 'man in the street' interviewer asking people in a grocery store 'Where does the meat here in the store come from'.

OK, I could almost cut some little kids slack for not knowing, but teens, middle aged people, even some elderly shoppers thought the store 'makes the meat in the back room'.

Truly terrifying levels of ignorance. And one reason one of the first thing W Bush's administration was to get rid of requirement for 'Country or Origin' labeling on food products. Easy to ignore problems faced by farmers/ranchers is nobody knows where dinner came from. Was glad when that was put back on. But we can't make consumers READ and realize the interdependence nations have in order to feed people
